Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Following the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington in Ohio and moved at Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first role as Rachel's Room's main character the online video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The TV film Murder in Greenwich, in which she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and was awarded with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) with her. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021 with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
