Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop music industry is influenced by his global influence. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN came out through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached number 8 on the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to make Vaina Loca that was it was a Top Five hit. He released in 2020 the album that charted Dopamina and co-wrote Mala Influencia alongside Noriel. In 2021, he performed in a duet with TINI for her stream single Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge single La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his older brother and mother are each musicians. He's said in interviews that music is an essential part of his life. Growing up, he taught to perform on the piano, saxophone and guitar. The first choice for his career was to be a veterinarian But his older brother Julian persuaded him to learn singing with the help of a Cuban teacher.
